Khunt’s Lab is an independent mobile app studio in Berlin, run by Khunt & Khunt GbR. We are making apps for Android and iPhone, and we design them to be kind to the people who use them.

What we believe
The rule of the house
No ads, ever
An app you rely on shouldn’t sell your attention. There is no ad-supported version, and there won’t be.
No tracking
We build in no analytics, ads or tracking of our own, and we keep no profiles of you. Where an app uses another company’s service, its privacy policy says exactly what that service receives.
Your phone, your data
Your results are worked out on the phone. There’s no server of ours in between.
Easy on the eyes
Our apps follow your phone’s font size and its dark mode.
Light on your phone
No endless animations, no constant background activity, and the camera only while you use it. Your battery is yours, too.
How we build
Careful and tested.
We write tests alongside our code and run them before every release. Important rules, such as purchases, permissions and privacy, are guarded by extra tests, and Android and iPhone are checked against the same test cases. Before an app ships, we review its security ourselves and check its privacy policy against what the code really does.
How we’re paid
By people, not by advertisers.
We don’t sell ads and we don’t sell data. We earn from people who find an app worth paying for. If an app isn’t for you, nothing is locked in: your data stays yours either way.
What’s next
Our first apps are on their way.
We plan to release them on Google Play and the App Store. When they are ready, they will appear here.
