Privacy policy

This page covers the Khunt’s Lab website and the emails you send us.

Who is responsible

Controller (Art. 4 (7) GDPR): Khunt & Khunt GbR (trading as Khunt’s Lab), represented by its partners Johanna Khunt and Bansibhai Girdharbhai Khunt. Email: support@khuntslab.net. Postal address: see the Imprint. We have not appointed a data protection officer.

This website

The site sets no cookies, runs no analytics or advertising, loads nothing from other companies and has no forms. If you tap the light/dark button in the header, your choice is saved in your browser’s local storage so that the next page opens in the same theme. It stays on your device and is never sent to us or anyone else; nothing is saved unless you tap the button, and you can delete it in your browser’s site settings. Because you asked for this function, no consent is needed (§ 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG).

The site is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc. (USA). When you open a page, your browser sends technical data such as your IP address, the date and time, the browser type and the page requested. Cloudflare processes it to deliver the page and to protect the site against attacks and abuse. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in a secure, working website). We do not use this data to identify anyone. We have not switched on Cloudflare Web Analytics or any other script-based measurement. Pages may be served from any Cloudflare location worldwide, including outside the EU. Transfers to the USA rest on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and the EU Standard Contractual Clauses; you can ask us for a copy.

Emails

If you email us, we use your address and message to answer your enquiry. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1)(b) GDPR where it concerns a contract or a request before one, otherwise Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR (our interest in answering enquiries); where the law requires us to keep business correspondence, Art. 6 (1)(c). We delete your message when the matter is closed, unless a legal retention period applies or we need it to establish or defend a legal claim. The email links on this site only open your own email app; nothing is sent until you send it. Email is not encrypted end to end, so please don’t send passwords or sensitive data. Mail to our domain is received by Cloudflare Email Routing (Cloudflare, Inc., USA), which forwards it to a mailbox hosted by Google (Google Ireland Limited, Ireland, and Google LLC, USA). Transfers to the USA rest on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and the EU Standard Contractual Clauses; you can ask us for a copy.

Our apps

Each app we publish gets its own privacy policy, which says exactly what the app does on your phone. It is linked from its store listing and from this website once the app is out.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access (Art. 15), correction (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction (Art. 18) and, where it applies, data portability (Art. 20). You may object at any time, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to processing based on our legitimate interests (Art. 21). We do not use automated decision-making or profiling. You don’t have to give us any data, but without your IP address a page can’t be delivered, and without your email address we can’t reply. The personal data we ourselves keep is what you send us by email. Write to support@khuntslab.net. You may also complain to a data protection supervisory authority, for example the one where you live or the one responsible for us, the Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit.

Effective 30 October 2026.
